If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World, let’s be honest—the food is half the experience.
From signature dining to quick bites in the parks, we made it a priority to try a mix of highly-rated restaurants, iconic Disney meals, and a few spontaneous stops along the way.
Here’s everything we ate during our 5-day Disney trip—plus exactly what we’d order again and what we’d skip.
🌅 SIGNATURE DINING EXPERIENCES
🍤 Narcoossee’s
📍 Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
A window seat overlooking Bay Lake and Magic Kingdom for dinner here was one of the highlights of our trip. The vibe is coastal, elevated, and relaxed—perfect after a travel day.
What We Ordered:
- Ocean-inspired charcuterie board
- Surf & turf (butter-poached lobster + steak in a delicious demi-glace)
- Almond-crusted cheesecake
- Chocolate sourdough bread pudding
Our Take:
The charcuterie board was creative and full of flavor—an excellent start. The lobster was incredibly tender and buttery, and the steak was cooked perfectly.
👉 Order Again: Surf & turf, charcuterie
👉 Skip: Fondant potatoes (dry and underwhelming)
🌇 California Grill
📍 Disney’s Contemporary Resort
We booked this twice—and I’d do it again.
What We Ordered:
- Sushi selection
- Duck Thai curry
- Oak-grilled filet with truffle-cognac demi
- Flourless chocolate espresso cake
- Espresso martini
Our Take:
This is one of the best dining experiences at Disney—full stop. The views, the service, and the execution are all top-tier.
👉 Order Again: Filet with truffle demi, sushi
👉 Worth It For: Fireworks views, excellent service + overall experience
👑 Cinderella’s Royal Table
Dining inside the castle is as magical as it sounds—but the food finally matched the experience.
What We Ordered:
- Shrimp cocktail
- Lamb chops
- Chicken roulade with truffle butter
- “Clock Strikes Twelve” dessert
Our Take:
This was the best meal we’ve had here across multiple visits. The lamb chops were surprisingly excellent, and the truffle butter on the chicken was a standout.
👉 Order Again: Chicken roulade, lamb chops
👉 Best For: Experience + kids + character dining
🌺 ‘Ohana
📍 Disney’s Polynesian Resort
We opted for a character breakfast here—and it delivered exactly what we wanted.
What We Ate:
- Glazed ham
- Biscuits
- Mickey waffles
- Bloody Mary + espresso martini
Our Take:
Simple, satisfying, and fun. The portions are generous and the character interactions make it worth it.
👉 Order Again: Everything (especially the waffles)
👉 Best For: Families + Stitch fans
🌐 EPCOT FOOD
🍕 Via Napoli
If you’re debating this one—book it.
What We Ordered:
- Classic pizza (thin, chewy crust)
- White pizza (because truffle oil... and artichokes)
- Espresso Martini (The best we had in Disney, made with Lavazza espresso)
Our Take:
Crispy edges, airy center, and that authentic wood-fired flavor. This is easily one of the best quick table service meals in EPCOT.
👉 Order Again: Absolutely
🎬 HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS SNACKS + DRINKS
🍹 Oga’s Cantina
This is more about the atmosphere than the food—but it’s worth experiencing.
What We Tried:
- Themed cocktails (Get the Corellian Cold Brew)
- Light snacks (We enjoyed the Garlic-Cheese Five Blossom Bread)
Our Take:
Fun, immersive, and a great break from the heat. Don’t expect a full meal—this is a quick stop. You only get 45 minutes and may have to stand the entire time.
👉 Worth It For: The experience
🎆MAGIC KINGDOM DRINKS + SNACKS
🏴☠️ Beak and Barrel
The pirate theming is done well, but the food and drinks need some improvement.
What We Tried:
- Themed cocktails (I had the $46 Plunderer's Punch; the souvenier mug is nice but the drink was super sweet)
- Light snacks (We had the Island Provisions which is assorted dips and chips and the Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes with Poblano)
Our Take:
Fun theming and entertaining service. You only get 45 minutes here also and may have to sit with strangers or stand.
👉 Skip this next time, felt rushed and food and drink were not worth the cost.
🎢 PARK SNACKS & QUICK BITES
Highlights:
- Mickey-shaped waffles 🧇
- Park snacks between rides, especially the cheeseburger egg rolls in Magic Kingdom
- Drinks throughout the parks
👉 Tip: Don’t over-plan every meal—some of the best moments were spontaneous snack stops.
🏆 OUR TOP 5 MEALS (RANKED)
- California Grill (overall experience + food)
- Narcoossee’s (best first-night dinner)
- Cinderella’s Royal Table (best it’s ever been)
- Via Napoli (best casual meal)
- ‘Ohana breakfast (best family experience)
❌ WHAT WE’D SKIP NEXT TIME
- Beak and Barrel was pricey and felt rushed. Food was meh and drinks were just ok.
- Over-scheduling dining (leave room for impromptu dining and more snacks!)
✨ FINAL THOUGHTS
