Spring Gardening
in the Midwest
Spring gardening season is almost here, and I’m already dreaming of stepping into my backyard oasis. There’s nothing quite like getting your hands in the dirt, planting fresh herbs and vegetables, and watching flowers bloom after a long Midwest winter.
But gardening here takes preparation. From knowing your USDA zone (hello, Zone 5) to understanding frost dates, soil health, and plant selection, a little planning now makes all the difference later.
Midwest weather can be unpredictable — one warm weekend doesn’t mean it’s tomato season just yet.
